Tonight saw an unwelcome return to the venue of Apollo Ashford for men’s 1 team. Down already by two members subs Dilli and Julian pared up on the night to help out the team. Playing against there top pair a good start was undone by some we lairing jitters and the home side ran out comfortable winners.
Rob and yat playing 2nd pair of the night once again started slow and lost their first end. However they quickly eased into their task and managed a comeback victory To put first rubber on the board.
James M and Eris paired up and found the tricky conditions tough and lost in relative quick time. In the end rob and yat picked another rubber but despite some tough games going to 3 ends the home team were just a bit stronger on the night.
Rovers would have elft ruing some winnable games and will look forward to avenging the defeat on the home game. Well played men’s 1 and subs.
