Rovers Mid 2018/19 Season Club tournament raises £160 for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust

22 Club Members took part in their lovely new team kit!

Another very successful cub tournament raised a whopping £160 for the MS Trust, thank you to all those that took part and donated to a worthy cause. As per usual ran by our Club Secretary David Smith pair were randomly selected and handicapped based on club rankings.

First ~Tournament Win for Yat Lee...….Finally

11 pairs split into 2 groups played round robin format with quarters, semi-finals played. the final was contested between English pairing of James Dethier/Ashleigh Richards vs all Chinese pairing of Mary Lai/Yat Lee.

With the crowd hotting up a closely contested final was edging towards a climax with eventual winners Mary and Yat winning 21-19. Many hecklers on the side-lines reminding Yat that he still lacked a tournament win to date. In the end he held his nerve with a smahs down the tramlines to seal his maiden victory.
